God can make our weaknesses into exactly what makes us prosper in life... January 2, 2025

I came across this peculiar quote ::

"There are bad traits that result in great talents."

A lot of successful people became successful because of their negative traits. Think of Steve Jobs fur example whose innovative vision made Apple huge, but he was also known for his cruelty and ruthless perfectionism. But this isn't what God wants to talk about here.

With this Bible verse, God wands to talk about that our perceived weaknesses can be transformed into strengths by God. Great weaknesses can be transformed by God into (what creates) great talents.

Take impulsiveness for example. It's not exactly considered a positive trait, but it could be under the right conditions.

Although it is generally associated with lack of self-control and poor decision making, thus trait can also make one tremendously creative and innovative! And can lead to 'think outside the box'-thinkers who dare to take risks that lead to breakthroughs.

Traits like recklessness, bluntness, inconsistency, being timid,... can all become exactly what brings a person success when they are applied in the right contexts.

So instead of seeing what's generally considered or what previously was experienced by you to be your negative traits as purely negative, it may be better to acknowledge the value these same traits can have in certain roles and endeavors.

The key is: God can use your "bad traits" in a way that makes them productive and meaningful, rather than destructive.

The more you think about it, you can see that pretty much any weakness can becomes positive in the right context... With a little bit of help from God...
